Welcome to the seventh edition of Scribere! This issue marks the completion of Scribere's Second Annual Writing Competition. As such, we have a section dedicated to competition winners, whose pieces cover the three categories of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. These pieces comment on the rules and pressures of our culture and society, as well as the importance of strong bonds and friendships. The competition was strong and the quality of writing was high, and so there are also some honorable mentions contained in this edition.
